VIRAL is a co-creation project, directed by Paulo Mota and Susana Lage, which aims to promote social and artistic development of young people/adults (15/29 years old) from vulnerable contexts.
It will develop over two years, between september 2022 and september 2024, within PARTIS & ART FOR CHANGE program financed by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and La Caixa Foundation.
The core idea crosses new media, with body, sound, image and writing, promoting a reflection on the places of the participants’ daily life, virtual or physical. Starting from their experiences, interests and concerns, the work will include an empirical relation with the places, collection of testimonies of different generations and historical research. The aim is to allow this young people to talk about their city to their own city, while exploring a critical relationship with the place and the public space.
