The Territory Cycle focuses on contexts and communities neighbouring the Central Elétrica. The cycle’s programming intends to set a new look at the surrounding maps, recognizing ways of life, values, beliefs and traditions of different social groups.
In 2022/2023, the programming of the Territory Cycle was supported by Porto City Council, through the program Criatório.
In 2023/2024, the programming was financed by the European Union – Creative Europe, through the PLANT project.
Fio Condutor 2025
12 and 26 July
São Pedro de Azevedo and Contumil, Campanhã, Porto
Fio Condutor continues to cross São Pedro e Azevedo with meetings that celebrate creation and sharing.
On 12 July, Soalheira leads us through the local terrain on a walk to discover PANCs – unconventional food plants – which we will cook together for dinner. At the table, we’ll serve feijoada and then watch a lively musical film with Cliff Richards, in a special screening by the Campanhã Cinema Club.
On 26 July, Chilean playwright Paula Aros, in residence for the month, presents -ō-sis, a project that combines art and science, linking the metamorphosis of insects to the transformations of women’s bodies and minds. Then the Brazilian collective Pavilhão da Magnólia presents Há uma festa sem começo que não termina com o fim, a show that invites celebration and resistance. The evening ends on a high with the contagious energy of Batucada Radical.
