COMMON SPACE

The Common Space emerged as part of the European project PLANT – Performing Life Akademia Network. In February 2024, a project and design workshop took place with a class from ESAD – Matosinhos to develop the Common Space, a multifunctional piece of urban furniture centred on the theme of “Meeting.” The work was guided by architect Roberto Cremascoli. The first segment was inaugurated at the end of March, and since then, the space has hosted bi-weekly (more or less) events featuring knowledge and memory sharing, films, discussions, and snacks.

A space to be. A space to be with others.
A meeting space that doesn’t have a single, fixed form all the time.
A place for conversations, sharing, and other activities that we define together.
