YOUNG SERBIAN ARTISTS ADVENTURES (Porto), Nadja Kracunovic – 07:00pm
“Young Serbian Artist Adventures” is a series of adventures executed by artist Nadja Kracunovic, fueled and shaped by active public participation. This second multimedia adventure involved a hotline in the city of Porto, allowing the public to engage in conversations and meet-ups as a service. The adventures have expanded into several projects—”Young Serbian Artist Hotline,” the workshop “How to Perform a Burden?” and the research piece”Lexicon on Men”—which the artist will share with the audience in her office in Sala Branca.
ATRÁS, Aleksandar Georgiev – 08:00pm
“If I were to do it, I would rather do it bareback… no protection, from the back, from behind, until it brings out the narratives from the back—the back archive, the back histories, the desires from the back, the back frontality, the back kinetics, the aesthetics from the back, until it dismantles the dogmas and constructs of shame, blame, and censorship, so we can smooth out, emancipate, and fall in love with the back, all over again”
“Atrás” is a choreographic solo that explores the back of the body and challenges the dominant front-facing narratives by focusing on the underexplored and often overlooked backside, drawing parallels between this artistic perspective and marginalized histories and societal areas. Building on themes from his previous projects around “anal body / anal politics”, Aleksandar delves into the phenomenology of the body’s back, seeking to dismantle shame, blame, and censorship while highlighting its aesthetic and kinetic potential.
MELHOR DO MUNDO, Ružica Anja Tadic – 09:30pm
In the past and heritage, we plunder the origin and foundations of our intimate, social, and global being. The behavior of my ancestors and yours can perhaps guide us and introduce us to each other. My memories will try to awaken yours. Together, we can fill the void and give voice to what is left in ruins.
“MELHOR DO MUNDO” is a journey through time and memory, exploring how our shared past shapes our present and future. This performance weaves together documentary footage, film, and live performance to create a tapestry of stories, emotions, and reflections. It is an invitation to look back with a desire to understand and connect.
