After a residency period, Tânia Dinis & Letícia Simões share their processes for Morada Aberta and Malunga, respectively, on March 14th in the scope of the Artistic Residency Program CRL – Central Elétrica.
Morada Aberta constitutes a “film performance” of a documentary and fictional nature which follows every day of women from Alto e Baixo Minho, historically designated as Witches and Healers, who carried out actions condemned by society. Malungas starts from linguistic and historical research into the idea of a (supposed) malunga, fluid and hybrid identity, constructed among and by black immigrant women (present) with resonances in the testimony of black women from the diaspora (past) aiming at other inscriptions and transformations (future).
On that day, it’s still possible to assist in the showcase of Katábasis by Valter Fernandes. The lonely body gets lost in the folds of its own labyrinth. A kind of inverted Narcissus who, dispassionate about its reflection, dives into the waters of the unconscious in a dialogue with the shadow which inhabits the bottom of that lake.
The entrance is free limited to space capacity, with ticket collection 30 minutes before the show.
