13 & 14 September 2023
09:00pm
Central Elétrica,
CACE Culural do Porto
Following his father’s trail, Pedro Vilela finds a triptych: Nelson’s lives. Even without knowing which of the lives this man actually lived, they end up resonating as a mirror of the experiences that everyone in Latin America goes through, personally and socially.
We set our sights on not one, but two Nelsons. Nelson Rodrigues and his poetic and political strategy, whom we pay homage to with this creation inspired by his universe. And Nelson Vilela, father of Pedro Vilela, performer and actor who lends himself, together with his family history, to this biodramatic approach to reflection on Latin American, or perhaps even Ibero-American, politics and society, unfolding from an analysis of Brazil’s particularities, transformed into a scenic creation resulting from an investigation carried out between Bolivia, Brazil and Portugal.
Grande Nelson will have presentations on the 13th and 14th of September at 09:00 pm at Central Elétrica in Porto. The presentations are of free access, with tickets being collected from 08:00 pm on site.
