André Braga & Cláudia Figueiredo
Giroflé is at the crossroads of different artistic languages – physical theatre, dance, circus, puppets, music – and, focusing on the discourse of emotion and the senses, it seeks to fulfill the utopia of an absolute audience.
Without using words, Giroflé composes a poetic manifest that announces community with nature, and evokes a community with the earth, trees, fruits, birds, sky, see, made of the sacred madness of the dream.
Imaginary landscapes fill up its giant dome and, more than a story, these landscapes bring up a theatre of the senses… a theatre of images, music, smells and emotions…
We ask the audience for tranquillity to contemplate, for complicity to plunge in the dream, for availability to let itself to the thrill of senses. We ask the audience to loose itself in our shining garden….
Under a giant dome a poem garden is snugly housed…
A garden that propounds:
he needs to empty all his memories
for the body to heal
and the dream to lower once more and build
dazzling shelters, shining gardens
