We meet at the Pavilhão da Vitória for a walk with Chilean artist Paula Aros, who will present –õ–sis, a creation developed during her residency at Central Elétrica. The project merges art and science, exploring insect metamorphosis as a metaphor for the transformations of women’s bodies and minds.
We welcome the Brazilian collective Pavilhão da Magnólia, a national highlight at the Shell Theatre Awards – one of Brazil’s most prestigious theatre prizes – with the performance There is a party with no beginning that doesn’t end with the end, a work that celebrates resistance and joy as forms of existence.
At dinner time, we’ll be serving Brazilian feijoada and a selection of traditional snacks.
The party continues with the vibrant energy of Batucada Radical, a percussion group that has been using music as a form of political protest and cultural expression on the streets of Porto since 1994.
