CURTO CIRCUITO | Youth Cycle is back at Central Elétrica on April 5th and 6th, 2025, for its 4th edition, celebrating the 25th anniversary of CRL – Central Elétrica with a weekend full of performances, workshops, installations, and fun activities. The program reflects this festive moment with a selection of projects developed by artists who have accompanied us on this journey.
CURTO CIRCUITO is free to attend and is an initiative of Circolando – Central Elétrica, with support from DGArtes.
The program starts on Saturday, April 5th, at 3:30 PM, with A Galinha da Minha Vizinha by Graça Ochoa. With 20 years of history, this solo clown performance about loneliness is the first associated project of CRL – Central Elétrica and now resumes its path with the freshness of adulthood. A woman is alone in her little house. In her delirium, she invents friends to pass the time.
At 6:00 PM, we present Ocelo by Daniela Cruz, a sensory and multidisciplinary performance that premiered at the end of 2024. It seeks to explore beauty as a meeting point between reality and our imagination, aiming to awaken a constant sense of wonder and enchantment.
Throughout the afternoon, several activities will be taking place simultaneously. Sonoscopia presents Sononautas: Aquática, a series of sound installations/experiences that transport us to a universe where the sound of water is visible and tangible. Meanwhile, NADA NOVO will conduct the Mini-cycles workshop, where we will explore the forms and parts of discarded objects to build new objects with new uses and meanings, giving them a new life. Clarabóia’s clay workshop invites us to explore the different textures, temperatures, and possibilities of this material. The children’s bookstore Salta-Folhinhas will also be with us during these days.
The second day begins at 3:30 PM with Os Lobos de Pedra by Trupe Fandanga/Sandra Neves. Newly premiered and with a strong visual impact, this puppet show tells the story of a boy’s journey into his heart, the place where a pack of wolves lives. The show repeats at 4:30 PM. As it is specifically designed for small audiences, prior booking is required.
To close the day, we present Espanto by Ana Madureira and Vahan Kerovpyan, a music and theater performance that calls out to attentive and inquisitive spirits, emphasizing the importance of the connection between the head, heart, and action. A physical and musical performance in which the voices lose their fear of heights, challenging the law and gravity.
Attention! Os Lobos de Pedra requires prior registration due to space capacity. Please make your reservations through the form available at the link.
It will be a complete weekend to celebrate and revisit, with family and friends, some of the performances that have accompanied us throughout these 25 years.
Central Elétrica is an accessible and family-friendly space, with free parking.
