CRL – Central Elétrica invites artists from the performing arts to present a proposal for a show to be part of the program of VOLTS – International Encounter of Performing Arts, in 2024.
We look for works that question and intersect the notions of “peripheral” narratives, interconnecting and addressing politics, culture, economics, ethics and aesthetics as spheres that affect ecosystems. We want to encourage dialogue, exchange and experimentation.
VOLTS will take place from the 4th to the 7th of September 2024 and the artists/groups must belong to the member countries of the Iberescena Program, excluding Portugal: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
The selected works will receive financial support upon presentation of an invoice/receipt, in addition to transportation, food, health insurance and accommodation, with works that have a team of up to 03 people. Priority will be given to artists linked to indigenous peoples and/or who include a gender perspective in the development of the project’s theme and aim to promote actions to combat stereotypes.
The person responsible for the selected project must comply with the issues established in this Call for Applications and ensure that support is mentioned in the project materials, also including the logo of CRL- Central Elétrica and Iberescena.
Applications can be submitted in Portuguese or Spanish between April 22nd and May 5th at 11:59 pm (Portuguese time) using a specific form fully completed and sent to the email p.vilela@circolando.com with the subject “INSCRIÇÃO IBERESCENA”.
The result will be announced by May 10th, by email, through our website and social media. Questions should be sent to the same email with the subject ¨DÚVIDAS IBERESCENA¨.
