In “Yo Salvo La Muerte”, Chilean Nicolás Lange develops an elegy for Jaime Lorca, Chilean activist in the fight against AIDS, who died in 2021. “Yo Salvo La Muerte” is a hybrid project between visual art-poetry and contemporary dance that includes testimonies of Chilean homosexuals who experienced the arrival of HIV-AIDS in the country in the 1990s”, the organization says. “The reconstruction of a friendship is, at the same time, a reconstruction of the history of Chile under the dictatorship.”
