Rabecas is a concert composed for a string sextet, for an orchestra of misshapen fiddles. Fiddles invented around the circular shape. Variations on a basic shape turned into two double basses, two cellos and two violets.
It is a miniature performance that can be seen as a prelude to Giroflé. The scene that starts and ends the performance.
