26 VOLTS| 8 – 11 September, CRL – Central Elétrica, Porto

From 8 to 11 September, we present the 7th edition of VOLTS – International Performing Arts Festival, featuring a programme that brings together artists from Spain, Brazil, Chile, India, Uganda, Morocco and Portugal.

This edition is shaped by questions that resonate with our contemporary moment, reflecting the search for an identity in constant transformation and proposing a dialogue between humanity and nature, where ideas of cycles, metamorphosis and regeneration run through the different artistic works.

Over the course of four days, audiences will have free access to an international programme featuring artists including Ana Rita Teodoro and João dos Santos Martins (PT/PT), Sol Garcia (PT), Mayara Baptista (BR), Ana de Oliveira e Silva and Dinis Duarte (PT/PT), Camil Navarro (CL), João Cardoso and Bharath Yadav (PT/IN), Youness Atbane (MA), Raul Maia (PT), Bárbara Fonte (PT), João Pais Filipe and Marco da Silva Ferreira (PT/PT), VACABurra (ES), among others. The programme also includes an exhibition by Atelier Caldeiras (PT), a retrospective dedicated to previous editions of VOLTS, talks with artists, and a closing event combining performance and live music by HHY & The Kampala Unit (PT/UG) and Os Doce (PT).

Admission is free. Tickets can be collected from 7:00 pm each day, subject to venue capacity.

26 VOLTS –  International Encounter of Performing Arts is supported by Criatório program of Porto City Council, the Iberescena Program – Fondo de Ayudas para las Artes Escénicas Iberoamericanas, the Portuguese Republic – Culture, Youth and Sports and DGArtes.

Most of our spaces at CACE are accessible to visitors with limited mobility. However, the exterior pavement is cobbled and includes some ramps with a slope. The venue offers free parking, and food and drinks will be available for purchase on site.
