As summer arrives, we present the second chapter of ATERRIZAR .
CAMINHO (PATH) invites participants to walk, observe and draw directly from the landscape in a series of sessions led by Rodrigo Queirós and Miguel Jaques. Across São Pedro and Azevedo, we follow winding rural paths and small woodlands that seem untouched by time—places where continuity endures despite the city’s relentless pace of change.
Here, drawing from observation becomes an ecological practice, grounded in a living relationship with place. To draw on site is to pay attention. By stopping in front of a landscape or an urban fragment and taking the time to draw, we step outside the culture of speed that shapes everyday life. Drawing offers another way of being in the world: unhurried, open-ended, and rooted in the encounter between a place and the gaze that meets it.
The workshops are open to anyone interested in walking, looking and spending time with a landscape. The drawings produced along the way will later be shared and exhibited across everyday gathering spaces in São Pedro and Azevedo—the bakery, the butcher’s shop, the grocery store and the café—extending the conversation between artistic practice and daily life.
The programme also includes a series of film screenings curated by José António Cunha. Through cinema and collective discussion, we invite audiences to explore poetic and sensitive perspectives on plant life and its entanglement with human ways of inhabiting, cultivating and caring for the land.
