15 November 2025
Central Elétrica, Porto
FREE ENTRY
On November 15, CRL – Central Elétrica celebrates its 25th anniversary with a program that reflects the spirit that has marked its journey as both a space for creation and a center for artistic residencies.
This event symbolically concludes a year of celebration and crossings.
6:00pm OPENING PROCESS
As part of the international residency Travessias de Criação Porto–Central 2025, we open with Clemente, a bodily investigation that combines distinct visual materialities and connects absence to dance.
An expedition that activates the layers of mourning while articulating the power of presence — transforming the oppositions between life and death.
6:30pm OPENING PROCESS
Following the Travessias de Criação Porto–Central 2025 international residency — a partnership between Porto Iracema das Artes and CRL – Central Elétrica — Maria Epinefrina presents Maldita.
A snake-bodied mermaid: monstrous and erotic. This movement research draws from floorwork techniques in pole dance and from myths and legends that reveal divine, insurgent, and sinful womanhoods.
A choreographic composition reflecting the heritage of guilt, punishment, and the monstrous burden historically placed upon the female figure in Western culture.
7:00pm INSTALATION
Estilhaços e Acúmulos is an instalation built from the debris of consumption, this installation emerges between the gesture of collection, the performative act, and its unfoldings. Each found garment carries traces of stories, bodies, and absences — testimonies of environmental and social erosion.
The research establishes a sensitive space for reflection, taking waste as archive, fabric as memory, and the body as a territory of crisis and reinvention. A poetic exercise of reconstruction in the face of an announced collapse.
8:00pm DINNER
9:30pm CONCERT
ERRANTE is a sonic journey through displacement, memory, and the search for belonging. Two musicians cross sounds and silences as if traversing invisible borders.
Each note is a step; each pause, an impossible return. ERRANTE is born from the idea of physical and emotional movement — and an inner dance.
It is the sound of those who leave and those who stay, creating a provisional territory of rhythms, echoes, noise, and melodies that mix roots and invent a place where wandering becomes home.
00:00am CONCERT
An iconic figure of the underground imagination, Claiana is a show in flesh, groove, and bone — one that could never be accused of hip paralysis.
Singing in a language of his own invention, Claiana delivers a unique fingerprint, drawing from influences that span an entire ocean — from Patrick Saint-Éloi (Kassav’) to Michael Jackson — along with a deep passion for football and the life philosophy of Bruce Lee.
6:00pm – 00:00pm PHOTOGRAPHY INSTALATION
The event is free to attend, with dinner offered while supplies last. Doors open at 6:00 PM on November 15.
The 25 Years of Circolando Celebration is supported by the Porto City Council, the Portuguese Republic – Culture, Youth and Sports, and DGArtes – Directorate-General for the Arts.
Most areas of the Central Elétrica are accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. However, the outdoor pavement is cobbled and some ramps have a slope. The venue offers free parking, and food and drinks will be available for purchase on site.
