For the stageplayer Francis Wilker, space is a dynamo from which he creates his dramaturgies, stageplays and encounters. In this residency, he conducts a site-specific investigation interested in the scars and multiple layers of time and meanings that architecture can offer. From the sensitive link between his body and the body of the L room of the Central Elétrica, he produces sparkles of reflections on walls, aging, skin, floor, time and death.
Residency: 30 may to 17 june | Open studio: 15 june, 19h30, at CRL – Central Elétrica, Porto
INERT?, Iñaki Alvarez i Ariadna Rodríguez – Nyamnyam (ES)
In INERT? the space becomes a great tapestry in which audio-visual projections, textual and sound fragments are combined with objects reused from old exhibitions and materials recovered from the warehouses from each context where the project is developed. It becomes a performative installation to rethink our relationships and interdependences with objects. Is the distinction between subjects and objects only a fiction to justify the hierarchy of humans over non-humans? How will we relate more horizontally with the objects, considered inert?
Residency: 13 to 30 june | Open studio: 25 june, 15h, at CRL – Central Elétrica, Porto
