30 January 2023, 10:00 am – 09:00 pm
Coliseu Porto
On the 30th of January, Coliseu Porto Ageas hosts the 1st Coriolis Meeting. Under the theme “Mediation and audience(s) – triggers and challenges”, from 10:00 am there will be conversations and debates around the performing arts. The program ends at 9 pm with the screening of the documentary “Um Corpo Que Dança” (2022), by Marco Martins, about the Gulbenkian Ballet.
The mediation strategies for the involvement of the audience(s); the problematization of barriers to cultural participation – such as issues of inclusion, ticketing policies or carrying out actions in public spaces with free access; the exhaustion of the teams; and the political measures that inspire or not the action of cultural organizations as a way of strengthening democracy and the rights enshrined to all citizens are some of the themes that this Meeting intends to pay attention to.
The Meeting is co-organized by a group of cultural organizations, of which Circolando – Central Elétrica is part of, that are interested in giving continuity to the reflections and sharing started in the project “Coriolis – Movement for Sustainability”, which took place between September 2020 and July 2022.
